Caladium/Colocasia
Transform your garden or patio areas with Caladium and Colocasia (Elephant Ears). Grown primarily for their foliage, they give areas a lush, tropical look. Caladiums grow about 12-18 inches tall and are known for their brightly colored foliage that is often intricately veined and even variegated. They're often used to brighten shaded areas and are excellent for containers. Elephant Ear plants may grow as tall as 6 ft. tall and are known for their large leaves. They, too, can be planted in the garden or very large containers. Both Caladiums and Colocasia are tender bulbs, meaning they don't like the cold weather. Wait to plant them until all chance of spring frost has passed.
