Apricots
Stone fruit crops, like apricots and nectarines, are fairly easy to grow in home gardens. It's a joy to harvest and eat homegrown, sun-ripened apricots and nectarines that are packed with wonderful, juicy texture and flavor. When selecting nectarine or apricot trees to buy for the home garden or edible landscape, make sure the variety will grow in your hardiness zone or grow zone. Also, select a space where the fruit tree will receive at least six hours of direct sunlight daily. Many fruit trees are available for sale in standard sizes and dwarf sizes. Standard-sized fruit trees produce bigger yields and take up more space than their dwarf counterparts. Many gardeners prefer dwarf fruit tree varieties because they're easier to harvest and prune.
