Deer-Resistant
Deer can be a major challenge for gardeners. These wild animals like to nibble on tender shoots, flowers and other plants in the garden. Using fencing and deer repellents are some ways to keep deer out of the garden. Another way is planting deer-resistant plants. While no plant is deer proof, deer-resistant plants are ones that deer tend to avoid because they may have a strong fragrance, may not taste good, may have a bad mouth feel or may be toxic to deer. Choose from a wide selection of deer-resistant perennials for sale, including ornamental grasses, ground covers and flowering plants. When buying deer-resistant plants, consider their grow zone, light and soil requirements, mature height and spread, and bloom times (if applicable).
