Peonies
Peonies are long-lived and long-loved garden classics. Their fragrant, fluffy flowers in late spring to early summer are treasured in the garden and cut-flower displays—and their very ornamental foliage stays attractive throughout the growing season. Peony bushes can be planted as accent plants in sunny perennial flowerbeds or used in foundation plantings, planted along a sunny walkway or used to create a low-growing, flowering hedge. Peony bushes usually grow about 3 ft. tall, but their height and size can vary. Most varieties of these deer-resistant plants grow in zones 3-8. When selecting peony plants to buy online, consider their mature height and spread, bloom time, and flower form and color.
