Shrubs
Shrubs are easy to grow and provide landscapes and gardens with structure and so much more. When selecting shrubs and bushes to buy, gardeners have so many choices. Some shrubs are deciduous, losing their leaves in the fall, while others are evergreen. Fast-growing shrubs are excellent for gardeners who want to establish a hedge or privacy screen quickly. Flowering shrubs add color and often attract pollinators. Many shrubs produce berries or fruit. Some shrubs have compact habits and are suitable for growing in containers. When selecting shrubs to buy, note their light, soil and grow zone requirements. Also consider their mature height and spread and whether they require pruning to maintain their shape.
