Trees

Planting trees in your landscape can enhance your outdoor space and so much more. Trees can provide shade, act as a windbreak, add color to the landscape, and produce food, such as fruits and nuts. When considering what type of trees to plant, consider your space.  Many shade trees grow quite large and require larger yards. Some flowering trees and fruit trees can easily fit into many landscapes. Also consider your reasons for planting trees. Do you want ornamental foliage, flowers or fruits? Once you narrow down what type of tree you'd like, consider its hardiness zone, light requirements, mature height and spread, water requirements and other factors.
