More Vegetables
Because it's so economical, many gardeners grow vegetables from seeds. It's a great way to grow lots of vegetables in the garden. When selecting vegetables to grow from seed, check the variety's growing requirements. Most vegetables grow best in full sun, or six or more hours of direct sunlight daily, and in well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Some plants, such as tomatoes and peas, require a support or trellis. The planting depth and spacing of the seeds is noted on the seed packet. When deciding what vegetables to grow in the garden, consider what you like to eat. It's rewarding to grow homegrown vegetables that you like to eat.
